jane keating23 days agoI found Helpful Badger very helpful. Jack and Kelcie did a great initial visit. Jack installed several smoke and other detectors, installed a new closet clothes pole and repaired pantry and bathroom vanity doors, all jobs that weren't getting done otherwise. He even fixed the deck gate which wasn't on the list! I have Helpful Badger on MY list for any future home fixes needed.Posted on Google
Eric Ardman26 days agoEven though they said they never built a chicken coop from scratch, they did a great job. No complaints. Very timely and they have very effective communication during the job. They made appropriate executive decisions but asked questions where appropriate as well. Thank you, Helpful Badger!Posted on Google

Julie Smith40 days agoYou guys are awesome! Jake was there for a window repair quote and I asked him to check on moisture that had been noticed in the basement previously. I am used to contractors doing things as quickly as possible and forgetting the details, so I assumed he had forgotten--he had not! This guy doesn't miss a beat. Love all the photos he took, especially since I am remote. A good handyman is hard to find, but after 2 decades I now have a few great ones. Very thankful for Helpful Badger and contractor integrity.Posted on Google

Jessica Brown149 days agoJake And Kelcie repaired a hole in our fence. They were very communicative about scoping the project and scheduling. I had an appointment within a week. They showed up on time and worked very efficiently, including being flexible while I was taking some meetings while they were working. I also appreciated that they were respectful of our decision to repair the fence vs. replace it. Some of the other folks I talked to were really pushy about doing a larger project. Jake And Kelcie listened to what we needed, completed the project as asked, and offered helpful information for the future, but without the pressure to go a certain direction. I will definitely be hiring them for additional projects in the future.Posted on Google
Julie Weinhouse150 days agoThe last time I worked with Jake was a few years ago to put in an a/c window unit and some other house repairs. It was a great experience so I called him again for more handyman work. He has a fantastic memory and remembered what we needed to do with the AC unit how that it was connected to an app. He has great communication, he's prompt and he's just delightful to work with.Posted on Google
Melanie Billings-Yun153 days agoWe had Helpful Badger come to put up a security mirror on our street, which had a blind left turn. They were extremely professional to work with. Unlike other companies I called, they responded within the day, agreed to come out to assess the project personally before submitting a bid, and did the project on the agreed day and time. Their price was reasonable. They brought all the needed materials, saving me from an extra step, and were pleasant to work with throughout. I am recommending Helpful Badger to all the homeowners on our street.Posted on Google
Cristina Downey166 days agoJake and Kelcie really are the "A team". I felt completely comfortable. They were all very knowledgeable and understanding of what my daughter needed. Alexander Fitzgerald171 days agoJake and the Helpful badger crew are awesome. They came out for a quick look at a project and were able to quickly throw together a bid with a detailed invoice. I had some questions about the materials and Jake gave me a call and explained why the cheaper AND the more expensive option wasn’t the right fit. They got the job done on time and even brought a little dustpan to clean up after! 11/10 experience and I’ll give them more business in the future.Posted on Google

Martha Jembere245 days agoI am deeply grateful to Jake and Kelcie from Helpful Badger for the care, professionalism, and teamwork they brought to repairing our shower. From the moment they arrived, they were kind, respectful, and clear in their communication. They worked seamlessly as a team, explaining what needed to be done and following through exactly as promised. The repair was done thoughtfully and solidly, and it brought real peace of mind knowing everything is secure again. What stood out most was not just their skill, but their genuine kindness, consideration and reliability. It’s rare to find people who take such pride in their work and treat your home with care. Jake and Kelcie are truly an A-team, and I sincerely appreciate their help. I would wholeheartedly recommend Helpful Badger to anyone looking for trustworthy, high-quality service.Thank you So much beyond words and may the Almighty Lord bless you both. Monamarie McCreary619 days agoYesterday Jake and Kelcie came to the rescue. I was turning over a rental unit last night & discovered the 14 years old disposal decided to retire, permanently. Helpful Badgers came at noon as scheduled & installed the new disposal. They also adjusted a couple other things too. The new residents were very happy to get the unit as promised. I love the tech that Helpful Badger use and I'll call them again when I'm in need of handy, helpful people. PS: They are reasonably priced and they clean up when they're done!Posted on Google
Rachel Palmieri Weber754 days agoWe hired Jake and Kelcie to replace two bathroom light/exhaust fans in our house. They were amazing through the whole ridiculous ordeal and we will absolutely hire them again for future general contractor type work. The details below are to share how they handled the comedy of errors (not their errors, just the way things were going). After removing one of the fans, they determined that an electrician was needed due to too-short wires that wouldn't reach the new fans. They sold me the light/fans and didn't even charge me for the time they were there, mostly because they had to essentially leave the house with a hole in the bathroom ceiling (that they covered in cardboard temporarily). They were super responsive to my texts and worked REALLY hard to connect me to an electrician in their network (who was very busy but still fit us in pretty quickly). When the electricians came to do the install, they let us know that the light/fan we had purchased wouldn't work in the downstairs bathroom due to no attic access. I let Jake & Kelcie know and asked if it was possible to return the light/fan. I received an "ok" via text and wouldn't you know it, they showed up at our house very soon after that text with a refund check so they could take the light/fan off our hands. I don't think I've ever encountered a company that was so good at customer service. Seriously.Posted on Google
Shannon Beaty894 days agoBefore reaching Kelcie I contacted several other businesses about a small but unusual project. Kelcie was proactive, positive and went the extra mile to help me out. Thank you, Kelcie!Posted on Google
Darci Doodle903 days agoWe hired the Helpful Badger team when my husband and I realized we were out over our skiis. We wanted to replace a non-working medicine cabinet mirror with integrated LEDs with a regular medicine cabinet mirror. Seemed like an easy DIY swap...until it wasn't. The mirror wouldn't hang right and was in danger of crashing to the floor. We knew we needed help. What we thought would be easy for the Helpful Badger team required intense problem-solving and to get the screws to fit correctly, they had to be customized both in length and in the screw head (I didn't even know you could do that!). In the end, it works perfectly for us and the price could not have been more reasonable. We're really happy that we called in professionals because this is one job we definitely could not have done ourselves. I'm already thinking about other projects for this team. They'll be my first call!Posted on Google

Jacob Bryant1090 days agoI’d recommend helpful badger because they cared about the quality of service more than getting business. An estimator came to look at a failing fence post. While looking at it, the estimator noticed the fence post was on a failing retaining wall. Instead of just taking the job, they referred me to a landscaper that would be able to fix both issues. They saved me from taking out the new fence post when I get the retaining wall replaced. I did not actually get a service from helpful badger, but everyone I interacted with was very nice and helpful.Posted on Google

Nobody got hurt and nothing was damaged. Can't beat that. Recommended.Posted on Google

Devin Poe2094 days agoJake is very professional and does great work! He installed a garbage disposal for me. Turns out my kitchen sink was more complex than the average one, which caused him to need to make several trips to the hardware store to buy parts. It took longer than anticipated, but at no point did the project feel rushed for that reason. He also stuck to the original quoted price, despite the various trips he had to make and parts he had to buy. Couldn’t recommend more highly!Load more
